The first day of the Annual Cup Match Classic was held at the St George’s Cricket Club, which saw crowds of locals and visitors alike lining up to experience the Bermuda tradition.

The clear skies made for a hot day as people went about the club grounds enjoying and experiencing the different aspects the classic offers. For the diehard cricket fans, the day was all about the game while others love to attend simply for the social interaction the event provides.

The Crown and Anchor tables – also known as the Bermuda Stock Market – were busy as people had fun winning and some losing their money. Food vendors kept hungry mouths fed with items including shark hash, fish dinners, hamburgers, chicken kebabs, and more.

At the end of the day, Somerset had declared at 370/6, while St George’s are at 76/5. Tre Manders and Janeiro Tucker both got centuries, and Tucker has passed Charlie Marshall to become the all time leading run scorer.
