Jamaican dancehall artists Shenseea and Ding Dong performed in Bermuda at a pre-Cup Match event at the Bermuda National Sports Centre.
A spokesperson said, “Ding Dong is on the Billboard charts in Jamaica, with his song ‘Bounce’ currently listed at number one, while his tune ‘Happiness’ is at number three. Shenseea, on the other hand, is on the world Billboard chart and is having an incredible year following last year’s success of the ‘Pure Souls’ song, featured on Kanye West’s ‘Donda’ album.
“Shenseea, whose birth name is Chinsea Lee, initially gained attention after appearing on songs by artists such as Vybz Kartel, Sean Paul and Christina Aguilera. In 2019, she signed a recording contract with Interscope Records and released ‘Blessed’ featuring Tyga, which has amassed more than 59 million views on YouTube.
“Ding Dong, whose real name is Kemar Christopher Dwaine Ottey, was initially a dancer before trying his hand at DJing and performing. He is well known for his song ‘Bad Man Forward/Bad Man Pull Up’, which topped the charts in late 2005 and early 2006, as well as a host of newer tunes.”
